This year
Bonjour Languedoc! are pleased to offer watercolour painting holidays
in the south of France with Mary-Louise Boardman and Louise
Waugh leading different weeks. Both Mary-Lou and
Louise are established artists
and experienced travel painting tutors.
Mary-Lou taught for 25 years in England, always painting,
then in 1997 she gave up teaching to begin painting full
time. She moved to this beautiful part of France in 2000,
attracted by the stone buildings and the colours of the
region, and she continues to paint what she sees around
her. She uses a mixture of loose watercolour techniques and
clear detail, suiting the style of painting to the subject.

Louise Waugh enjoys teaching and has combined this with her love
of travel by working previously on painting weeks in Spain,
Italy and Morocco. Her students range from complete
beginners to practising artists who simply want to come for
a week of solid painting with instruction, encouragement and
inspiration.

The village of Trausse Minervois and the surrounding area
provides a rich and exciting backdrop of colour, ancient
buildings and stunning landscapes that will surely prove
inspirational. You will be working within the village along
gentle paths, or taken by minibus to picturesque painting
locations further afield.
Chairs and boards are provided for painters and after
booking we will be in contact with advice on a list of
basic materials (to suit your budget), that you will need
for the break.
Some activities can be arranged for non painting partners.
